Abound

Dietary food intended for special medical purposes to be taken under the supervision of a physician, indicated for the diet of malnourished patients who need to rebuild lean mass and repair damaged tissues.
Amino acid module consisting of a proprietary blend of arginine, glutamine, beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate (HMB), which promotes lean body mass recovery and wound healing.
It can be used for oral or tube feeding.
Available in 2 flavors: orange and neutral.

Mode of use.
The recommended daily dose is 2 sachets per day, unless otherwise specified by the physician according to the specific needs of each patient.
For oral use: dilute the contents of one sachet in 250 ml of water.
For probe: do not mix Abound with other enteral nutrition formulas directly into the pouch. Pour the contents of one pouch into a suitable container and dilute with 125 ml of water. Mix well until completely solubilized. Ensure correct positioning of the probe. Wash the probe with 30 ml of water before administering Abound's solution. Administer Abound's solution with a 60 ml or larger syringe. After administering Abound's solution, wash again with 30 ml of water (use a smaller amount of water if the patient is to be fed a low-fluid diet).

Warnings
Do not use in septic patients.

Conservation
If you plan to consume the solution within 4 hours of preparation, keep it at room temperature. If not used immediately it can be stored in the refrigerator and should be used within 24 hours. Sealed envelopes of Abound can be stored at room temperature in a cool, dry place.
