Description
Agpeg plus esse is a medical device to be taken to achieve effective bowel cleansing. Removal of solid debris in the colon is essential in preparation for endoscopic, radiologic, and ultrasound examinations for accurate diagnosis.
Mechanism of action: Agpeg plus esse contains macrogol 3350, an inert substance that is not absorbed, does not irritate the mucosa, does not ferment, and is eliminated in an unmodified form. Due to its affinity for water, it draws large amounts of fluid into the intestinal compartment, hydrating the fecal mass and stimulating peristalsis.
It also contains simethicone, which is effective in the absorption of gastrointestinal gas associated with constipation due to its antifoaming action.

Components
Macrogol 3350 and simethicone. Excipients: silicon dioxide, flavor, saccharin sodium.

Warnings
Contraindications
Do not take the product in case of:
- Known hypersensitivity to the product
- intestinal stenosis
- dynamic ileum
- acute or severe colitis
- toxic megacolon
- intestinal perforation
- gastric stasis
- Inflammatory bowel diseases (such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis)
- Patients weighing less than 20 kg or younger than 2 years of age
Pregnancy and lactation
There is no experience on taking during pregnancy and lactation. The product should be taken only on the advice of a physician.
Interactions
The product may reduce the residence time in the intestine and thus the absorption of drugs administered orally at the same time. Therefore, avoid swallowing them together: after taking a medication allow an interval of at least 2 hours to elapse before taking Agpeg plus esse. If you are taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet or diabetes medications, consult your doctor or endoscopy center for a possible change in dosage.
The oral suspension should be prepared at the time of intake. In case it is not swallowed immediately, the suspension should be stored in a refrigerator and in any case used within 24 hours of its preparation. Do not add other ingredients to the reconstituted suspension. Simethicone may interfere with the effect of some reagents used in diagnostics, such as guaiac gum.

Conservation
Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use the device after the expiration date indicated on the package (the expiration date is on the sachets and box). Do not use opened or damaged sachets. Do not store at temperatures above 25°C.
Validity with intact packaging: 36 months.
