Description
Dietary supplement of Berberis aristata e.s., red rice, policosanol, folic acid, coenzyme Q10 and astaxanthin. Berberis aristata e.s. promotes the control of plasma cholesterol and triglycerides and supplements an overall adequate diet for this purpose. Fermented red rice is produced by fermenting rice (Oryza sativa) with a particular strain of Monascus purpureus. Fermented red rice contains monacolin K, a natural product that has a chemical structure belonging to the class of statins involved in cholesterol metabolism, and its activity is dose-related. Policosanol is a mixture of natural fatty alcohols contained in the waxy matrix of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum) rice bran (Oryza sativa) and beeswax (Apis mellifera). Folic acid contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism. Homocysteine is a substance normally produced in the body as a result of the metabolization of the amino acid methionine that we introduce into our bodies through food. The homocysteine produced is then converted back into methionine. If this reconversion process does not occur, or occurs only partially, the unprocessed homocysteine accumulates in the body and can be harmful to various organs and in particular to the health of the cardiovascular system. Armolipid Plus covers the physiological daily requirement of folic acid. Coenzyme Q10 is a physiological constituent of our body that is involved in oxidoreductive reactions involved in ATP (adenosine triphosphate) synthesis. Astaxanthin is a substance synthesized from the microalga Haematococcus pluvialis and plays an important role in oxidoreductive reactions.

Mode of use.
Take one tablet daily, unless otherwise advised by your doctor. In case of difficulty swallowing, it is suggested to break the tablet into two parts and take them with a glass of water.

Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age. Supplements should not be intended as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not use during pregnancy, during lactation and during therapy with hypolipidemic drugs. Seek the advice of your doctor for the use of the product. Gastrointestinal discomfort and muscle pain may occur while taking Armolipid Plus, especially in individuals intolerant to statins. Consult your doctor if you experience muscle pain.
