Description
Disposable device in extemporaneous oral suspension powder sachets.
Oral treatment of acute and chronic diarrhea and painful symptomatology of gastrointestinal disorders. Indicated in prophylaxis of diarrhea from radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
One sachet of Catidral plus contains diosmectite and electrolytes. Diosmectite is a natural clay characterized by a crystalline structure in very fine overlapping lamellae, which gives it a high absorbent power, such that it is capable of incorporating the liquids present in the intestinal lumen, thus increasing the consistency of stool and slowing its expulsion. In this way, Catidral plus, can also reduce the risk of dehydration resulting from diarrhea and promote, thanks to its content of electrolytes in balanced doses, the restoration of compromised hydrosaline balance. In addition, the absorptive power of diosmectite allows it to interact with the glycoproteins of the mucous film lining the gastroduodenal wall, modifying its physical characteristics to form a protective gel.

Mode of use.
Each sachet should be used only once after it has been opened.
The contents of one sachet should be dissolved in 100 ml of water. To obtain a homogeneous suspension, pour the powder into a glass, add the water and stir vigorously with a teaspoon. Intake after meals is recommended.
Catidral plus should not be used for more than 5 consecutive days: if symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
For the first three days:
- Children 2 years and older: up to 4 sachets daily.
- Adults: up to 6 sachets daily.
Thereafter continue with a half dosage until complete resolution of diarrhea.

Components
One sachet of powder contains:
- diosmectite 3 g;
- sodium chloride 0.263 g;
- Potassium chloride 0.0373 g;
- Tripotassium citrate anhydrous 0.162 g;
- trisodium citrate 0.147 g;
- Glucose (dextrose anhydrous) 1.982 g.
Excipients: partially hydrolyzed guar gum, vanillin, saccharin sodium, silicon dioxide, cream flavor, vanilla flavor;
Colorant: beta-carotene.

Without gluten.

Warnings
Strictly consult your doctor in case of concomitant therapies.
Keep out of the reach of children.
Do not use if the original packaging is not fully intact. Do not use after the expiration date.
The high absorptive power of diosmectite, may interfere with the gastrointestinal absorption of some orally administered drugs, so any other oral therapies will have to be taken remotely.
Do not administer to individuals suffering from chronic constipation or constipation.
When administering to diabetics or those on special diets, be aware that Catidral plus contains sugar. If you are taking medication, consult your doctor before using the product.
During pregnancy and lactation, consult your doctor before taking this product.

Conservation
Store at a temperature between 0 °C and 40 °C.
Store at room temperature, avoiding exposure to light and heat, excessive ambient humidity and contact with water.
Expiration date refers to the product in unopened package, properly stored.
Validity with unopened packaging: 24 months.
