Description
Macrogol 4,000-based medical device indicated for the treatment of chronic constipation; treatment of fecaloma; situations where complete colon cleansing and cleansing is required; treatment of constipation with episodic or chronic colic.
Macrostip is a product with laxative action that regularizes intestinal functions through the osmotic mechanism. It is not absorbed or fermented in the intestines, does not irritate the mucosa, and is eliminated in the stool in an unmodified form.
In fact, thanks to its affinity for water, Macrostip softens stool, facilitating evacuation. Its action does not diminish over time.

Mode of use.
Constipation
Adults, elderly and children 12 years and older: 1 full-dose sachet (10 g) 1-3 times daily, Open the sachet along the dotted line and dilute the contents in 125 ml (about 1 glass of non-carbonated water). For prolonged use, the dose can be reduced to 1-2 sachets daily.
Children 7 to 11 years old: half a sachet (5 g) twice a day. Dilute the contents in 62.5 ml (about half a glass of non-carbonated water).
Children 3 to 6 years old: half a sachet (5 g) once a day. Dilute the contents in 62.5 ml (about half a glass of non-carbonated water).
Colon cleansing
Adults: 23 sachets dissolved in 4 liters of water (each sachet dissolved in 175 ml of water) to be taken in a single dose the afternoon before the exam or split into two doses, 2 liters the evening before the exam and 2 liters the morning of the exam.
Dissolve the contents in a glass of water (125 ml). Drink the solution thus reconstituted. You can divide the daily dose into several servings. It is recommended to take Macrostip sachets away from meals.

One 10 g sachet of powder contains Macrogol 4,000 10 g.

Warnings
Do not take Macrostip in cases of known hypersensitivity to raw materials, gastrointestinal perforation and/or obstruction, known gastric or intestinal injury, severe inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and toxic megacolon.
It is advisable that intake of the product be spaced at least 2 hours apart from that of orally administered drugs, as the osmotic power of macrogol and the increased gastrointestinal transit rate induced may adversely affect their action. Consult your doctor before taking Macrostip if you have other therapies in place. Macrostip may potentially interact when used with starch-based food thickeners. The ingredient macrogol counteracts the thickening effect of starch, thereby liquefying preparations that need to remain dense for people with swallowing problems.
Side effects such as poor digestion, stomach pain or rumbling, bloating, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, anal irritation, and mild diarrhea may occur while taking it. These are effects that improve by reducing the dose. If allergic reactions occur, intake should be discontinued and the physician should be contacted.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children. During pregnancy and lactation, consult your doctor before taking this product. Use in children under 12 years of age should preferably be done under medical supervision. Do not use Macrostip for more than 30 consecutive days, if symptoms persist consult your doctor. Avoid contact with the eyes. Do not use beyond the expiration date. Treatment of fecaloma requires prior medical advice.

Conservation
Store tightly closed, in a cool, dry place away from light and heat.
Expiration date refers to the product in unopened package, properly stored.
Do not use beyond the expiration date or if the package is opened or damaged.
