Product Description
STRATAMED
Flexible contact dressing that provides an optimal environment for wound healing and prevents scarring abnormalities.
Stratamed is a semi-occlusive, self-drying, transparent gel.
When used as directed, Stratamed dries to form a gas-permeable, water-resistant protective layer that hydrates and protects compromised epidermal areas and open wounds from chemical and microbial invasion.
Stratamed can be applied to fresh incisions and excisions, open wounds, and compromised skin surfaces, including those after laser treatments, chemical peels, skin abrasions, 1st and 2nd degree burns, and superficial radiation therapy burns.
Stratamed softens and lowers raised scars and allows scars to normalize the collagen synthesis process, causing them to mature normally.
Stratamed can be used with or without a secondary protective dressing.
Stratamed is ideal for exposed areas, such as the face and neck, as well as joints and hairy areas, without the need for shaving.
Stratamed is used to relieve itching and discomfort as well as reduce redness and discoloration associated with damaged epidermis and scarring.
Stratamed was developed for use on all types of superficial wounds, burns, epidermal tears, and abrasions.
It can be applied to open wounds, burns, and areas where the integrity of the epidermis has been compromised.
Stratamed is used for the following:
- he protection and hydration of superficial wounds, burns and compromised epidermis;
- The prevention and treatment of keloids and hypertrophic scars.
Stratamed can also be used in combination with invasive scar treatment options to improve overall results, including: surgical excision and resuture, intralesional steroid injections, laser treatments, and compression garments.
Stratamed is suitable for children and people with sensitive skin.
Stratamed can be used on infants, in pregnancy and during lactation.
Stratamed is designed for use on a single patient.
Mode of use.
Make sure the scar or affected wound is clean.
Gently wipe away any excess exudation or wound fluid before applying the gel.
For best results, Stratamed must be maintained in continuous contact with the epidermis (24 hours a day/7 days a week).
If Stratamed has been removed by washing, it must be reapplied.
If properly applied to exposed areas, Stratamed should dry in 5-6 minutes. If it takes longer, too much has probably been applied.
Gently remove the excess amount with a clean cloth or gauze and allow the drying process to continue.
On damaged or lacerated epidermis that does not require secondary dressing:
Apply a thin layer of Stratamed and allow to dry.
Stratamed should be applied once daily, or twice daily to exposed areas or according to medical advice.
Once dry, Stratamed can be covered by sunscreen, cosmetics, compression garments or plasters.
On damaged skin or wounds requiring secondary dressing:
Apply a thin layer of Stratamed then cover with the secondary dressing.
Drying is not necessary.
Stratamed should be reapplied when the dressing is changed or when checking the progress of the wound, or according to medical advice.
Stratamed is recommended for immediate post-procedure treatment and should be continued until the skin is completely healed.
For resurfacing and ablative procedures, continued use is recommended for a minimum of 30 days (24 hours a day/7 days a week) or until further improvement is seen.
For the prevention of abnormal scarring, Stratamed is recommended for a minimum treatment of 60-90 days (24 hours a day/7 days a week). Larger scars may take longer.
Continued use is recommended until further improvement is seen.
