Selenium is an oligomineral found in humans. It is present as selenocysteine in selenoproteins, the major families of which include glutathione peroxidase, thioredoxin reductase, and iodothyronine deiodinase. As a cofactor of these various selenoproteins, Selenium is implicated in several aspects of thyroid homeostasis.
The presence of selenium in the form of L-seleniomethionine ensures good bioavailability accompanied by the lowest risk of toxicity, making it appropriate for long-term use. Bioperine is a standardized extract of black pepper that contains piperine. Bioperine has been shown to increase the bioavailability of water- and fat-soluble nutrients particularly L-seleniomethionine.

Ingredients
Oil of soybean, dietary gelatin; resisting agent: glycerol (E 422); selenium yeast; black pepper (Piper Nigrum L. e.s., fructus) (bioperine); anti-caking agent: silicon dioxide (E 551); L-seleniomethionine; coloring agent: iron oxide (E172).

Without gluten and without lactose.
